Adam is a visual artist from Salem, Virginia. He primarily works in oil, charcoal, digital, and pixel art. His works deal with a range of fantastical subjects, but are inspired by Victorian classicism, the Hudson River Valley School of painting, and the concept of the sublime.
Adam is skilled in academic drawing, oil painting, illustration, digital painting, photoshop, and various other art software. He holds a Master's Degree in Fine Art, working as a professor. He also has a K-12 teaching degree in art, and has worked in various capacities as an art instructor.
@khalmoon Yeah, there definitely seems to be padding issues all around. Unfortunately I am inexperienced with CSS and coding in general so skeddles usually takes care of those things - but he is super busy with the gallery and mainsite at the moment. If anyone in the community is experienced with CSS/coding/general forum know-how feel free to shoot me a PM or Discord message.

@juniperdusk Thank you! I do think there are some affinities between intaglio and pixel art/text mode. The way I see and use characters are as pre-set pixel clusters (meta-clusters), which can also double as dither/interpolation in some cases. @adam Cheers! I'm glad you like this type of stuff

Hahaha but for real, they truly do have a lot of personality. Excited to see what you do next with this!
I really like the colors and the forms that you have defined thus far, but I feel like it needs more cleaning up around the hands - the clusters there are not well-defined in terms of having clarity as to what is holding the club and where the club begins.
Really nice overall though!
Doing this from my phone to see if it works.
Edit: yep, just hit the button that looks like a page to upload anything from your files or photos.
Welcome everyone! Glad to see so many familiar faces, and so many new ones.
For me, it's the versatility of pixel art. You can create sprites, backgrounds, large painterly compositions, realistic portraits, cartoon characters, animations, etc. - and the crispness of the medium only adds to that. No art form, in my opinion, looks better than crisp pixels on a 1080p screen. You can fine-tune SO many details that you can't in other mediums with pixel art, and every single pixel makes a difference - clustering your pixels one way can completely change how a piece looks at 1x.
Pixel art also is accessible by all - you don't need money for art supplies, or to purchase a certain software - you can just start pixeling. That's how it started for myself, and a lot of my pixel art friends and colleagues - we just opened up MSPaint on Windows XP back in the day and started slinging pixels around.
The retro / old-school aspect of it as well is inspiring and enjoyable, but I only see that as an added bonus.
You've already heard my thoughts on this but I'll echo them here. Awesome video once again, and it's very well shot all throughout. Everyone definitely needs to give Joey a follow or subscribe, actually quality videos are hard to come by in the clickbait day and age!
@kiana Yeah, tags are already implemented actually!
At the bottom there - you can include them whenever you post a topic.
As for the job section, there is already a post regarding rules and example posts: https://forums.lospec.com/topic/32/rules-of-the-jobs-commission-forum
We haven't decided what we want to do regarding jobs and portfolios yet - as posts start to eventually come in I suppose we'll determine how we want to separate and arrange things. I'm not sure how active that section will be!
This is a general thread for you to report any bugs that you find around the forum, offer suggestions for how to improve or iterate on the forum, and to request any sort of addition to the forum software (if it is feasible or within reason, haha).
The forums are still very new and in progress. Skeddles is continually working on all aspects of Lospec, including the forums, so there are no promises in terms of getting to your requests immediately, but this is a good way to see what the community would like out of the forum, and what you all might think is currently missing!
