I've just charged whatever comes to mind in the past, however it doesn't seem that beneficial all the time, I usually charge 5-15$ for emotes and like 50 to 80$ for a big piece or animation, in the future I would like to charge hourly. What about you?
Have you check out the lospec Jam yet, if so, what are your thoughts on it?
Brugendy, or cyan blue
@skeddles i see what you mean, also that big map looks like it was super hard to make
I've been meaning to get back into the groove with Isometric scenes, but I haven't made the time to try, I really love the look of Isometric Pixelart, and I think the boundaries don't exist for what you can do with it. My favorite part of Isometric pixelart are the scenes I've seen, such as a forest or beach where you can see under the water.
Great topic idea, My inspiration for starting pixelart, came from a few different things, one was grid paper pixelart I did when I was in grade 7, I had to do it for a assignment, and it was fun, later I learned more about pixel art and did it on applications from my phone, later I was extremely inspired by a game with really nice pixelart, called Vibrant Venture, I wanted to get good at pixel art back then, however I didn't stick with it for long. Last year I got motivated again and finally got a good pixelart editor, but this time I was serious, and here I am today. Another big influence for me getting into pixelart was retro games that I love.
For me, I enjoy it, when I beta tested it, I made many simple 3d models with pixel textures. Its really simple to learn, and fun to use.
For me its my surroundings, and how I generally feel, sometimes ill use colors I made as I was creating a piece for a palette aswell.
I chose aseprite because it looked like it had the simplest interface, and i saw it had a great animation timeline, i still use it to this day because I know how to use it more than any other editor and would have trouble getting used to another.
I love all the unique and cool art styles in the pixelart community, so I'd love to hear what makes your style unique or special, for me, I change my art style constantly.
